Some more October/Halloween celebrations began Friday night.
Our best friends, Kristi and Blake, came over for some pumpkin carving and caramel corn making.

We are going to miss them when they move away in December :(
This was my first time ever making caramel corn. I have enjoyed others making it, but never tried to make it myself. It turned out so yummy! We have been craving it ever since!
This is the new furry addition to our family-L.B. (please don't judge us crazy cat lovers). He basically adopted us a few weeks ago. He showed up on our front porch and has not wanted to leave since.

October to do list:
Make caramel apples
Make pumpkin pie
Make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (don't you love how all my to-dos so far have to do with food)
Decide on and create Halloween costume
Make "gak"
Buy dry ice and make a yummy drink dessert
Come up with fun activities for Halloween classroom party (any suggestions?)
Go up the canyon once all of the leaves turn colors

ReplyDeleteI love it!! Looks like so much fun :). I am seriously in denial that it is halloween time already (time is moving much too fast!!)... but I did see pumpkins at the store over the weekend and wanted to buy some so badly!! (Along with a can of pumpkin for some treat-making :)).
ReplyDeleteI love it too! So fun! I am going to go out looking for more Halloween decorations because we don't have nearly enough! My mom used to make us caramel corn on Halloween night so when we came home from trick-or-treating there was fresh caramel corn waiting for us. It was pure heaven!
ReplyDeleteI feel like October snuck up on me! We haven't decorated, I don't have the kids' costumes, I haven't baked anything pumpkin. Fail. That caramel corn looks so yummy. What recipe did you use? I've never made any either, but I think I will this year! Hope you get all the things on your October to-do list done. They're all so fun!
ReplyDeleteSo fun!!! Look at out fun those pumpkins turned out. And now I am craving carmel corn...and all those yummy treats too. Hmmm...good things I am going to the grocery store some time this week. I think my list will be getting longer. Yum yum yum. I love the fall too. There are just so many great things that go with it!
